International Network Configuration

Boranet provides fast and stable service because it is
linked to various nations around the globe with large bandwidth international
leased line.
The US Service Provider is linked with 1,130Mbps line. Many Internet service
providers of the Asian regions are also peering linked with international leased line.
For many Asian region networks, this reduced the delay time that occurred when communicating via USA.
Domestic network Configuration.
Number of Internet Nodes: 58 Nodes
* Within the city areas: 107 areas
Trunk line bandwidth: 155Mbps~ 2.5Giga runk

Boranet not only makes endless efforts to solve international traffic delays but also provides service to prevent
domestic delays by configuring its local backbone with high bandwidth trunks.
Since most traffic from the local areas are to the head offices in Seoul or offices in foreign countries; a direct
155M/Giga trunks are linked between Seoul and the major cities in the rural area to send data in few msec.
With 58 nodes spread out nation-wide, customers can use Boranet service with no additional long distance leased
line fee by accessing the nearest Internet node in the area.
The dual trunking and backup route between node makes it possible to provide a stabilized service
even during trunk trouble.
In addition, the data transmitting abilities of those trunks that were constructed recently
with high quality optical fiber by LGDACOM are excellent.
The trunk protocol used in nodes between Boranet backbone are HDLC and PPP, also to minimize the transmitting
delays a high speed trunks are linked directly between nodes. A prevention of traffic collision and delays
in LAN were made possible by configuring the LAN backbone of the Seoul node- which has the most traffic,
to Gbps Switching HUB. Also the Load Sharing between trunks are applied to efficiently distribute and transmit traffic.
Besides the above, 24-hour proactive monitoring systems and automatic troubleshooting systems
are available to quickly solve not only the backbone trouble but the local circuit trouble as well as the routing troubles.
International Internet Exchange Center

LGDACOM, who plays the major role in the Korean Internet, operates the LGDACOM IX- the domestic
Internet exchange center- along with KRNIC and Korea Telecom. The functional goal of LGDACOM IX
is to ensure fast connectivity among connected ISPs, and to maintain efficient packet routes
within Korea without routing through foreign links.
LGDACOM IX is linked to NCA with 200Mbps and Korea Telecom with 1,250Mbps lines and most of the major domestic Internet service providers are linked with over 45Mbps.
